In 1974, a woodcarving group organized to form the North Arkansas Woodcarvers Club. It was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1992 under the laws of the State of Arkansas. In 2000, it was recorded with the IRS as a 501C3 organization, allowing all donations to be tax deductible. Membership averages 150 members, most residing in Baxter and Marion Counties.
