In 1906, four men; John McLean Stevens, Frank Foote, Fred L. Porter, and William L. Brown Sr. planted the first 90 acres of McIntosh trees at Northern Orchard. The business grew during this time and in 1930 Northern Orchard Co. installed the towns first commercial cold storage at a railroad siding on the farm property.
In 1945 Marcel Mulbury Began work at Northern Orchard Co. as the Farm Manager. Continuing to grow the operation until Eventually becoming the owner in 1952.
In 1973 Marcel's son, Albert joined up with his father as the farm branched into the use of Semi-Dwarf plantings and new varieties. Albert continues to run Northern Orchard Co., Inc. as president of the organization alongside his wife Cynthia. Their children, Jesse and Jenna have come in as the third generation of the family farm.
