About Us:
Northfield Golf Club in Northfield, Massachusetts is a semi-private nine-hole golf course owned and operated by Northfield Mount Hermon School. The maintenance is provided by Snow & Sons Landscaping. Designed by Alex Findlay, this "links" style nine-hole course was constructed at the turn of the century and opened in 1901; the current layout opened for play in 1912.
The Northfield Golf Club is a well designed and carefully maintained mature course. The fairways are narrow and tree-lined, there is excellent hole variety, and the small, fast greens keep the course interesting and appealing to both skilled golfers and those just learning how to play the game.
Water hazards come into play on the two par 3's, including the signature hole #6. At 175 yards from the blue tees, there's water to the right and out of bounds to the left, as well as two large sand bunkers to the left and right of the green.
Electric golf carts and pull carts are available for rent and the air conditioned clubhouse has a good selection of golf balls, tees, gloves, and other apparel for sale. Beer, wine, soda, and juices are available, as well as hot dogs and other snacks throughout the day.
