Norwayne High School is located in the North Central Local School District. Serving the communities of Creston, Sterling and Burbank, Ohio, the North Central Local School District is located in Wayne County, 20 minutes north of Wooster. You can locate us easily on a map by searching for the I-71/I-76 interchange in Northeast Ohio. That area is the northwest corner of our school district.
Norwayne High School is the 9-12 building in the North Central Local School District. The District also consists of Creston Middle School, serving grades 5-8 and two pre K-4 elementary schools: Burbank Elementary School and Sterling Elementary School.
Norwayne High School has a home student population of approximately 360 students. There are approximately 50-70 students per year based in the North Central Local School District that either are engaged in a post-secondary format or attend classes at the Wayne County Schools Career Center. With a 10-12 school enrollment of 260, Norwayne High School is in the Class C division according to the OMEA marching band adjudication setup.
The mission of the Norwayne High School Bands is to establish a reputation not based on size, but on technique and ability.
