The Nurses Advocacy and Ethics Alliance was formed in 2009 to address the lack of fundamental tools and training available to working nurses and nursing students that would enable them to make powerful ethical decisions on behalf of their patients and to mitigate any moral distress that might be associated with those decisions. The mission of the NAEA is to support nurses in their role as patient advocates by promoting ethical thinking and action through education.
