The NWCCG is a local group of the Illinois Chapter of the Sierra Club. The Sierra Club is America's oldest, largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization. Founded in 1892 by John Muir and other supporters, the Sierra Club's goal is to explore, enjoy and protect the planet. We have approximately 2,000 members in the northwest suburbs of Cook County.
The boundaries of the Northwest Cook Sierra Club include: Arlington Heights, Barrington, Bartlett, Des Plaines, Elk Grove Village, Hoffman Estates, Mt Prospect, Palatine, Park Ridge, Rolling Meadows, Schaumburg, South Barrington, Streamwood and Wheeling.
