About Us:

Oak Grove Tree Farm is located in Dennison, part of beautiful Tuscarawas County, Ohio. The land was originally purchased by Ephraim Kelley in 1844 and has been passed down through the generations ever since.  In 1989, James Kelley "Jim" Owens and his wife Cookie decided he needed a "little project" to keep him busy during retirement.  Jim had the idea to start a Christmas Tree farm on the property that he has lived most of his life.  After 20 years of planting trees, this little project has become a family endeavor.

Daughter Lorri helps plant, trim and shape the trees throughout the year.  She also cuts the tree that you choose and makes sure it gets loaded securely onto your vehicle.  You will often see daughter Ginny helping with sales and loading trees as well.  Daughters Karen and Debbie both live out of state but are always on the farm during the annual Open House, making wreaths and door swags, helping with sales Our Christmas trees are only hand trimmed and shaped, never machine , and serving hot chocolate and cookies.
