Old McDonald's Farm

Old McDonald's Farm
16705 Coulterville Road

About:

Nestled at the base of Walden’s ridge in northern Hamilton County, the farm has been home to the McDonald family for eight generations, and holds a special place in the hearts of all McDonald family members who have spent time there. As a working farm, nearly 700 acres are used to cultivate row crops, hay and cattle. Among the variety of products offered include Corn, Soybeans, Wheat, Straw, Grass hay, and Angus beef cattle.

James and Kitty McDonald first settled in the beautiful area at the foot of Walden’s ridge now known as McDonald Farm in 1821. From that point forward, the McDonald Farm has been continuously owned and operated by members of the McDonald family. The farm has also seen many changes over the years, from James McDonald’s small tract on Sale Creek, to a diverse operation now comprising nearly 1,700 acres. The one constant, however, has been the commitment by all the McDonald family members to see that the farm continues to provide not only the best produce, but also rich traditions for future generations.

Each Fall the McDonald family welcomes visitors to the farm for a variety of fall activities, from picking a pumpkin out of the pumpkin patch, finding one’s way through a corn maze, petting our baby farm animals, taking a hay ride, and more. We hope you’ll join us this Fall to take part in the family tradition.
