Oneonta Area for Public Education is dedicated to informing the rural communities in and around Oneonta, NY (and beyond) about current education reforms and their impact on us as teachers, parents, students, children, and taxpayers.  Issues include high-stakes testing, excessive standardized testing, opt-out, the Common Core, APPR, student data-sharing, scripted curriculum, modules, and many other education-related topics.

OA4PE is part of a nationwide grassroots effort to help all concerned citizens stop the wholesale privatization of public education, end the "one size fits all" approach to teaching and learning, and bring more meaning back to our classrooms.  OA4PE is an affiliate of the New York State Allies for Public Education.
