City of Orem Cultural Arts Strategic Plan
In January 2004, the City Council appointed a citizen advisory board--the Cultural Arts Advisory Commission--and charged them with drafting a Cultural Arts Strategic Plan for the City of Orem. After conducting a needs assessment which included surveying arts organizations, businesses, and the community at large, the Commission presented its recommendation to the City Council. The Cultural Arts Strategic Plan was formally adopted in December 2006 as a vision and a guide for the arts in Orem.

Cultural Arts Facilities Feasibility Study
In May 2006, AMS Planning & Research was retained by the City to conduct a feasibility study for major cultural arts facilities in Orem, including a state-of-the-art performing arts center. The purpose of the study was to provide the City Council with information regarding the need, the market sustainability, and the construction and ongoing operations costs associated with such facilities.
