About Us
The Orinda Chamber of Commerce was chartered as a non-profit corporation in 1952. Leadership of the Chamber consists of a nine member Board of Directors which meets monthly to determine the policies and programs for the future of the Chamber. The Chamber office is staffed part-time by an Executive Director. Members are able to establish a wide range of business contacts and to work together toward building a better community when they participate in the various activities of the Chamber. The office is very active in dispensing local information of all kinds to area residents and visitors, as well as responding to out-of-town inquiries.
We now have a membership of close to 200 business and professional men and women concerned with the well-being of the business community and the City as a whole. We believe that some of the qualities needed to make a successful community are:
Good leadership
Never accepting things as they are, but always trying to make them better
Having an eye to the future and planning for what the future might bring
And a cohesiveness in the community with a "get the job done" quality
