About Us

Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, organized in 1960, and affiliated with the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, is a church of nearly 400 members and friends. We are located on the Old Glenn Highway, halfway between the S. Birchwood Loop and N. Birchwood Loop Glenn Highway exits. About 20 miles northeast of Anchorage in the shadow of the great Chugach Mountains, we primarily serve the suburbs of Chugiak, Eagle River, Birchwood, and Peter's Creek, Alaska.

Our Redeemer has an outgoing and diverse membership of families and individuals. In addition to our pastor, we employ a full-time deaconess/youth director, and a part-time secretary and director of music.
