The Owen County Art Guild is a cultural center where everyone interested in art in its many forms can meet, share ideas, and enhance their skills. Established in 1963 by 17 local artist the mission of the Guild is to promote and encourage the practice and appreciation of the arts.
The Guild building at 199 W. Cooper St. Spencer IN is a gallery to display the work of local artist, studio space for Guild members, a classroom for art programs, a meeting space for community organizations, and a home for the Art Guild’s collection of artwork by founding and past members.
Monthly shows at the Owen County Art Guild feature the work of current members. The full schedule of shows, classes, open studio time, events, meetings, interest groups, and fundraising activities can be found on the Calendar! All programs are open to the public. While the majority of programming at the Guild is free, some classes may include a small fee.
The Owen County Art Guild is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation that supports local art programming and community services through the collection of membership dues and the generous support of our patrons.
