About Us:

Palisade Glacier High School is set in the beautiful foothills of the eastern escarpment of the Sierra Nevada out of Big Pine, CA. We are the continuation school for Bishop Unified School District. PGHS is a place where students may come to catch up on credits and experience a small school environment with a dedicated, talented staff passionate about serving students.

Appropriate, Calm, Fair, Just, Respectful--these character traits are part of our contract for essential conduct and our expectations for every student and staff member. Respect for self, others and environment summarizes these traits--and is our focus for PBIS (positive behavior intervention and support). These expectations set the stage for a successful academic environment. It is our mission as a staff to support students to become successful academically, socially, and for their transition into college, career, and adulthood. To that end, it is of primary importance that we provide counseling for and scholarships to post-secondary education. It is also crucial that students uphold their part of the contract by working hard and making good progress on academics. This is a team effort--together, along with parents and community support, we can go beyond expectation as individuals and as a campus.
