Peerless Entertainment is an entertainment and recreation company dedicated to bringing new life to historic theaters and other unique entertainment venues that have traditionally been the focal points of local commercial districts. Peerless Entertainment seeks to take advantage of the optimal locations and unique character of its venues to establish popular community-oriented enterprises with large, loyal followings.

Peerless Entertainment grew out of Mike Wilkinson’s 1996 acquisition of the historic Colusa Theatre. From 1996 to 1999 the Colusa Theatre was transitioned from a run down, second run movie theatre into Colusa, California’s premiere attraction. In April 2000, Wilkinson resurrected the nearby, 1950’s style Riverside Lanes bowling center to further increase the entertainment and recreation options available in downtown Colusa.

In 2004, the Colusa Theatre and Riverside Lanes were featured in (San Francisco) Chronicle Broadcasting’s popular television show “Bay Area Backroads,” and in 2005 the “Peerless Entertainment” business name was chosen. Peerless Entertainment also began working with the San Francisco Neighborhood Theater Foundation (SFNTF) in 2005 to help produce the popular Film Night in the Park outdoor film series in San Francisco.

Peerless Entertainment is led by Mike Wilkinson, a veteran theatre operator with 15 years of film exhibition industry experience in the Bay Area and Northern California.
