The Phoenicia Library is located in the foothills of NY's Catskill Mountains. Anyone with a library card from the Mid-Hudson Library System can avail themselves of all the library has to offer, and many services are available to all.
- In addition to books, the library has computers with internet access, videos, DVDs, magazines, copy service and fax service.
- Most books are allowed to be checked out for 2 weeks, and renewable for another 2 if there are no holds on them.
- Videos and DVDs for children and adults have a 1 week due date.
- Books-on-tape are allowed to be taken home for 2 weeks. Magazines, including Consumer Reports, American Heritage, and local newspapers can be read in the library's reading areas.
- Phoenicia Library has six computers, five with internet access and one with games which is located in the children's section. Children may use a computer with internet access with their parent's permission. Computer use is free. Printing is 15 cents per page for black & white and 25 cents for color, but printing for schoolwork is free.
- The library is part of the Mid Hudson InterLibrary Loan system and can get most books, videos, or CDs a patron would like. If a book is not in at the moment, or the library does not own it, we would be happy to place an InterLibrary Loan for you. Most books can be made available within a week.
