The Piney Woods Quilt Festival enjoys the support of many local and area corporate and individual sponsors who make the show possible. We are deeply grateful to all of them.
The event provides an opportunity for our two local clubs to highlight the growing interest in the skill and artistry of quilting. In addition to classes and supportive instruction to new and experienced quilters, both local clubs contribute to various charities including child protective services and the Susan Komen Foundation. Our club members also make quilts for dialysis patients and veterans. Funds to support these activities are raised through the sale of tickets to win the donation quilt made by the joint membership of the two clubs. Both clubs are open membership organizations and we welcome visitors.
Each year the festival is fortunate to attract an increasing number of quality and interesting quilt projects for display. The event also features a select group of vendors exhibiting new tools fabrics, and products. There will also be a “Country Store” with quilted crafts, small quilts and a potpourri of patterns, blocks, books, and other “no longer loved” items donated from the quilters’ collections.
