We are a school district of 36 square miles, located on the south side of the city of Marion. We encompass part of Marion City – Chateau Ridge from Toulon Drive and including parts of Barks Road, White Oaks Road near Sawyer-Ludwig Park, and the Carriage Arms apartments from the 400 address up. We have outer boundaries that extend from State Route 203 to Newmans-Cardington Road to State Route 98. You will find gerrymandered areas throughout all of the county school districts, thus to be certain of the school district of any property ask to whom property taxes are directed for school purposes.

There are a variety of homes in the school district. Chateau Ridge has three – four bedroom homes ranging in price from the mid-to-high $160,000 through $280,000 and up. Quarry Estates, Collinswood, Eagle Creek and the Marion Country Club Housing Development offer top of the line housing for all ages. Southern Estates located across the road from Brook side Pool and Mar-O-Del Golf Course has homes in the $170,000+ range. The Groves at Newmans Crossing, located off Newmans-Cardington Road, offers vintage-style homes starting in the low $200,000. Up-scale condominium developments in the district include among others Pheasant Run, Eaglewood, Collinswood, Eagle Landing, The Lakes, Eagle Creek, and Hampton Woods. There are several other areas with small housing developments along with quite a bit of farmland within the district.

Our school campus is located on a 100+ acre plot. Current student enrollment is 1352 of which 914 are resident students, complimented with 438 open enrolled students from surrounding school districts. The Pleasant Board of Education welcomes enrollment of students from any Ohio School District in accordance with laws and regulations of the State.
