About Us:-
Pleasure Valley Llamas lies on the edge of the Northern Kettle Moraine State Forest. Amidst the gorgeous surroundings nestles pastures graced with our Chilean Llamas.
The unique animals were once beast of burden now their uses include pets, guard animals, pack animals, driving animals, hiking companions, wool producers, breeding stock, show animals, and animal therapy in nursing homes, schools, preschools, and therapeutic with handicapped. They have a way of slowing us down in our fast paced life.
Our favorite time to watch the llamas is just before sunset, that is when they are most active running and bonging in the pastures. Especially those beautiful little crias (baby llama).
Our farm has been in the family since 1865 as a dairy farm. In 1996 we sold our dairy cows and ventured off in a different direction. Today we have over 100 full chilean show llamas currently gracing our pastures.
We have shown throughout the United States with incredible success. Our five children and their spouses all play an active role in our operation. Our Grandchildren are starting to show and compete in performance. They started showing when they were 18 months old.
