Open: March - Thanksgiving
In our Yakima Valley vineyards, we currently grow Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Reflection Vineyards is located in the Yakima Valley AVA (American Viticulture Area), the oldest wine region in Washington. More specifically, we are in Rattlesnake Hills AVA which is a subset of the Yakima Valley AVA about 15 miles southeast of Yakima. The Rattlesnake Hills AVA is known for its long, sunny days and fine, shallow, silt loam soils left over from the ice age. The vineyards here are typically located on ridges and terraces and in areas with good air drainage to avoid late spring damage and early fall frost and winter kill.
Our vineyards are at 1000' elevation and sit on a south facing slope. This provides great air circulation and lots of sunshine on the vines. The soils are well draining and we have plenty of water available, allowing us to control the amount of water the vines receive at each phase in their growing cycle thus creating strong and fruitful vines. We care for our vineyards by hand cultivating each vine individually.
