Purpose
The Purpose of the Reseda Neighborhood Council is to participate as an advisory
body on issues of concern to our neighborhood area, as described in Article IV,
and in the governance of the City of Los Angeles.
Mission Statement
To provide an inclusive open forum for public discussion of issues concerning
City governance, the needs of the RNC, the delivery of City services to the RNC,
and on matters of a City wide nature, and
To advise the City of Los Angeles on issues concerning City governance, the
needs of the RNC, the delivery of City services to this RNC, and on matters of a
Citywide nature.
To promote public participation in City Governance and decision making processes
so that government is more responsive to local needs and requests and so that
more opportunities are created to build partnerships with government to address
local needs and requests;
To foster a sense of community for all people to express ideas and opinions
about their neighborhoods and their government; and
To protect and improve the quality of life in our neighborhoods, promote
empowerment, and community-pride, encourage youth participation, and to provide
a forum to effectively address the issues which affect our communities.
By embracing our heritage and diversity, the Reseda Neighborhood Council is an
alliance of caring Stakeholders committed to meeting local needs through public
action and dialogue.
