RIVER Oaks Academy Charter School-Homeschool in its 4th successful Year

River Oaks Academy’s homeschool program embraces the belief that all children are born with the capacity for brilliance. The mission of the school is to help children find, nurture and sustain the passion that leads to brilliance.

Through the creation of this unique program, River Oaks Academy Charter School homeschool has been able to offer a wide range of resources, extracurricular options, and a variety of core and enrichment classes, including music, drama, art, science, languages, and field trips to supplement their student’s learning experience.

Our program creates an environment of personalized learning that helps each child to find the passion that leads to his or her innate interests, gifts and talents. The program further creates opportunities for students for whom the current traditional classroom environment does not work. With this innovative, trend-setting program the school’s small size classes are designed to support the home study program through effective student/teacher ratios, a non-competitive, multi-age learning environment, where limitations based on age, subject, grade-level complexity and time frame expectations are eliminated.

The school provides a wide range of experience for each family to make sure that the student has plenty of opportunities to explore and discover his/her passion. Each family is assigned a supervising teacher who will support and guide the family on the journey. Furthermore, each family will be provided with a wide variety of curriculum choices, online program support and tutoring. At River Oaks Charter School personalization of the program to fit each student is a key objective.
