About Us: We are one of three school districts located in Fortuna, California, approximately 250 miles north of San Francisco. Fortuna is surrounded by towering redwood trees and sits a few miles from the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Fortuna's population is approximately 10,000.

Mission:

We believe that education is a process in which staff, students, families and the community work together to provide students with the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and experiences they need to contribute to and participate in our society.

Our mission is to produce students who are:

- Proficient in reading comprehension, communication, computation, reasoning and problem solving

- Capable of problem solving in a variety of real life situations

- Supportive of the role of the fine arts and humanities
