About Us:
We are members of Rotary International, the world's first and greatest service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 34,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto:
"Service Above Self"
This motto applies to all Rotary clubs, and our goal as The Rotary Club of Belmont & Redwood Shores is to fulfill these requirements. We have many opportunities that can help both our local and international communities, and our members are always coming up with new and innovative projects that can help our goal of community service. The types of service can range from community fundraising to rewarding young individuals with scholarships. Our goal is to find ways to expand our services outside of our community, and this can only be accomplished with hard work and dedication.
Fellowship is very important to our club because our best work is done together. Our members are given opportunities to connect with one another in a social and professional manner, along with opportunities to serve our community. If you are interested in becoming part of our great group of Rotarians, please feel free to attend any of our 12:15 PM luncheon meetings at The Van's Restaurant, 815 Belmont Avenue, Belmont.
