Saco Bay Rotary, chartered on November 14, 1989, consists of 67 men and women representing the business communities of Saco, Biddeford, and Old Orchard Beach, Maine (USA) in varied professions. Our diverse membership offers leadership, talent and resources for the enrichment of the communities we serve. The members of Saco Bay Rotary serve their club, their community, and the world by performing community, vocational, and international service projects. Saco Bay Rotary is Club #26791; we are part of District 7780.
District 7780 has a total of 41 Clubs in southern Maine, eastern New Hampshire, and northern Massachusetts. As part of Rotary International, Saco Bay Rotary is one of over 32,000 Rotary Clubs in 206 countries, with 1.2 million members worldwide.
Mission
It is the mission of our club to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthwile enterprise; to encourage and foster the development of aquaintenance as an opportunity for service; to encourage the highest ethical standards in business and professions; to recognize the worthiness of all occupations as a means to serve society; to apply the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business, and community life; and to advance international understanding, goodwill and peace through world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service above self.
