History
1911—Supply meets demand or the mercantile will become the supplier. The latter seems to be exactly how H. D. Lee started his legendary jean company. Lee was dissatisfied with the quality of work clothes and frankly just could not rely on delivery. So he just started making his own right here in Salina Kansas. And yes, as simple as that is how LEE Jeans was born.
Lee Jeans, still head quartered in Merriam, Kansas, is a wholly owned Brand company of Vanity Fair. Vanity Fair is the world’s largest retail clothing manufacturer.
