The mission of Save Our Waterfront is to promote policies and programs that foster the protection and preservation of Nantucket's waterfront resources.

To fulfill our mission we have identified the following goals:

Educate the public about the impact of potential development on the waterfront.

Promote environmentally responsible uses of Nantucket's waters and waterfront areas.

Advocate for the protection of existing public access to the waterfront, as well as for the creation of additional public access.

Work for the development, adoption and implementation of a comprehensive harbor management and waterfront development plan.

Collaborate with community non-profit organizations such as the Nantucket Land Council, Nantucket Shellfish Association, One Big Beach Program, to protect Nantucket's water resources.

Involve young people now in order to build the next generation of informed and involved advocates for our island's waterfront.
