Scioto Elementary is located in Commercial Point, Ohio, and serves students residing in the northwestern portion of the district. Students and staff at Scioto moved into their new building in August 2003. There are over 500 students enrolled, with over 40 certified and non-certified staff members who provide quality instruction.

The student population continues to increase at a rapid pace. This growth is expected to continue due to the large number of developments in the area.

The Scioto staff continues the district's mission to provide quality instruction to students. Scioto Elementary received an "Effective Schools" rating based on the 2004-05 state-wide testing. Scioto met eight out of the nine indicators established for Ohio elementary schools. Preparing students for state testing is a very large part of Scioto's commitment to students. Several programs have been implemented to improve test scores and encourage positive behavior and attitude. Teachers continue to develop professional skills to meet the challenges of twenty-first century education.
