CELEBRATING THE SENSES! A RETROSPECTIVE ART EXHIBITION of SOUTH AFRICAN ARTIST GRACE PHILLIPS DEBUTS AT A FUNDRAISER FOR ALZHEIMER'S AT SCRIPPS, LA JOLLA. OCTOBER 5, 2010 - JANUARY 4, 2011 Works of art by renowned Watercolorist and Calligrapher, South African GRACE PHILLIPS, will begin a 3-month exhibition on October 5, 2010 at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. The South African artist and long-time San Diegan resident is now stricken with Alzheimer's disease. A special fundraiser to benefit the care of ALZHEIMER'S patients will be held on the inaugural day of the exhibition, October 5, 2010, from 5.30pm to 8.00pm at Tippet Hall, Schaetzel Center, at Scripps Memorial Hospital, La Jolla. In honor of a 'CELEBRATION OF THE SENSES' Sue Phillips - Fragrance Expert and daughter of the Artist, will take guests on an olfactory 'journey' in the Schaetzel Auditorium for guests to enjoy and discover the magic of their Sense of Smell. They will evaluate an extraordinary palette of high-quality fragrance blends from The Perfume Studio, and have the unique experience of formulating and creating their own 'bespoke' perfume. 'Name' or brand their creation and receive a Certificate of Registration for future reordering. Scenterprises will make available its most popular 20ml atomizer, in any designer-color at a preferred price of $125 (20% reduction) which will include a 25% donation to Scripps La Jolla Wellness program.
