Shelby Community United Methodist Church

235 4th Avenue South

The Shelby Community United Methodist Education Fund was started in May of 1982. Any student who is a member of our church can apply for financial aid through our church. The late Robert G. Anderson, a local attorney and long-time member of our church, was instrumental in setting up this Education Fund. You can support the Shelby Community United Methodist Education Fund with donations of cash or property. The Education Fund is administered by the Education Committee. Applications and complete information are available from the church office. Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants may reapply each semester by submitting their grade transcript from the previous semester to the Education Fund Committee. Students who attend Rocky Mountain College, and who receive money from our Education Fund, are eligible for up to $500 in matching funds from Rocky. A ‘C’ average is required, but otherwise, financial need is the primary consideration in the awarding of Educational Funds.

Applicants are not required to repay Education fund grants. They are asked to consider, when they are employed, that their donations could help someone else.
