The Chamber's beautification committee, headed by Rita Hlasney, is promoting "Sweepin' up the Shell" days for the second year in a row. May 19 & 20 are designated as the days to improve the appearance of Shell Knob and the surrounding lake area.

Free disposal and recycling of appliances and scrap metal will be provided. Three trailers will be located at Barton's parking lot for collection of these items. Refrigerators should have the compressor removed. No trash, television, computers or upholstered furniture can be accepted.

With the coming of spring and summer to Shell Knob, the local landscape is looking beautiful. Taking part in Sweepin' up the Shell will help maintain and improve the appearance of the Shell Knbo area.
