Smithville First Baptist was first formed in 1844, one year before the formation of the Southern Baptist Convention. We are associated with the SBC through the Tennessee Baptist Convention. Locally, we are part of the Salem association of churches. Doctrinally, we are a conservative church and we adhere to the Baptist Faith and Message.
