History:

In August of 1986, the Lord Jesus Christ led Pastor Frank Gagliano, his wife Laurie, and their four children, (now seven!) Frankie, Naomi, Nicole, and Noel to Springfield, Tennessee.  At that time, the members that remained from the former Tabernacle Baptist Church felt led of God, under the leadership of Pastor Frank Gagliano and the deacons, to begin a new ministry here in Springfield.  They believed that the Lord’s hand would be upon this new ministry.  Tabernacle was dissolved, and in October of 1986, South Haven Baptist Church was born.

A great debt is owed to those members of Tabernacle Baptist Church who realized, as one member said to me, “one ministry needed to die so that another ministry could be born.”  God has shown His favor on that sacrifice, and, today, South Haven Baptist Church is a thriving, New Testament, Bible-believing, soulwinning ministry.  Thousands of people have been saved and baptized through the outreach of this ministry over the last 22 years!  Multitudes of lives have been helped and changed through the many new ministries that  have been added!

It is our desire that the Lord Jesus Christ will continue to keep His hand upon our ministry as we seek to make a difference in Robertson County and surrounding areas for the glory of God!
