The South Kortright Central School is a centralized school district serving 380 children from the towns of South Kortright, Stamford, Harpersfield, Bovina , and Meredith. The area is rural and agrarian in nature. The school and campus are nestled in a lovely valley of the West Branch of the Delaware River on the north western edge of the Catskill Mountains, approximately 15 miles north of Delhi and 5 miles south of Stamford on State Highway Route 10. The School building has recently undergone a renovation of the Elementary Wing and the Construction of a new Technology and Art Wing which was completed in the summer of 2005.
