The mission of Spokane HOPE School (Hearing-Oral Program of Excellence) is to optimize the acquisition of listening, learning, and speaking skills in children who have hearing loss and to provide a supportive environment for their families. As the ONLY Listening and Spoken Language (LSL) program in the region, the heart of our vision is the belief that children with hearing loss who wear modern hearing aids and/or cochlear implants should have the opportunity to maximize their listening and spoken language skills so they may transition successfully into mainstream kindergarten, interact with hearing peers, and require little or no special services.
