HISTORY
The parish of St. John's Episcopal Church, Tuckahoe, was established in 1789 and in 1798 members erected our historic church building, which has recently undergone a total restoration.
WHO WE ARE
A diverse community of worshippers residing locally and throughout Westchester and the Bronx.
WORSHIP
Eucharist (Mass/Communion) Sundays at 8:30 & 10AM (9AM in summer). Feast days as announced.
SUNDAY SCHOOL/CHRISTIAN FORMATION
Children 4-12 attend Sunday School. Adult and teen programs as announced.
MUSIC
A professional organist/music director oversees our program. Congregational hymns are sung at Sunday services, bolstered by the adult choir at the 10AM service. Children's choirs present anthems once a month.
FELLOWSHIP
We enjoy pot-luck suppers, book clubs, game nights and more. Volunteers enjoy staffing our Red Door Thrift Store.
NURSERY SCHOOL
Butler Nursery School, an integral part of St. John's for 20+ years, provides neighborhood children solid preparation for elementary school.
