The Vestry has affirmed the report of the Mission Discernment Committee. The committee has been working since Lent 2004 to lead the congregation in a discernment process identifying the purpose that our Lord has given to us at St. Patrick's.

Through survey, small group meetings, and much discussion, we recognize that Jesus Christ is the head of St. Patrick's and He calls us to love God, obey God, love one another and let our light shine . These four commandments will structure the work, programs and life of our congregation.

Fr. David notes that there are three areas of life and growth here at St. Patrick's.

We are growing in our worship and arts program with quality and diverse worship in the Anglican Tradition and wonderful arts and music offerings.

We are growing in our children's ministries with our Worship Adventures for children Sunday morning program, Pre-School Class and Nursery; special Family programs; Puppet Ministry and our new Children's Chorister Program, a comprehensive and high-quality music instruction program emphasizing music theory, worship practice, church tradition, music history and vocal training.

We are growing in our outreach and service to the community through weekly Manna Food Pantry collection, Conejo Compassion Coalition events, Sunday Dinner Program, support of the children of Joy orphanage in Sri Lanka, and many other programs and ministries that we support.

We will further our discernment of God's call to us by participating in the National Church Development program offered through the diocese.
