The Kapiniaris family has a wine grape growing heritage that stretches back five generations to the vineyards in the south of Greece. In 1987, Konstantino Kapiniaris purchased his first vineyard of 30 acres in the Lodi grape growing region. Since then, the Kapiniaris family has expanded to 210 acres of premium wine grapes. Stama Winery are currently located in the Vino Piazza. The piazza was once a co-op winery for the farmers in the 40s. Due to the warm summer days and cool delta breezes, Konstantino Kapiniaris found the Lodi Appellation to be optimal for growing premium wine grapes.Today, the Kapiniaris Family not only grows premium winegrapes in the Lodi Appellation, but has also expanded in the production of fine wines under their own label, STAMA.
