Since 2008, Still Hungry Theatre has been doing something a little bit different. So often in the entertainment industry (and especially in Los Angeles), you hear and see a lot of the same things. The same old action movie, the same production of Oklahoma, the same beer commercial.

From an artist's perspective, this means that one very rarely gets to do something they're truly passionate about. Sure we do what we love, but how often do we really lay claim to a show as something that has taken hold of our lives and changed us? From an audience's perspective, it means that not very much new content is there to explore... just rehashed versions of the same old productions and films. So often, companies will go for what sells rather than what promotes the LA theater community... and that is a real shame.

Still Hungry Theatre believes that what is "art" and what is "successful" should not be two different concepts. We strive to make each and every show original, compelling, and definitely something that you haven't seen or been in before.

It is essential that we, as a community in Los Angeles, support independent theater and film. Still Hungry Theatre has always produced shows that inspire and promote independent work in LA., as well as display LA's finest up and coming talent from every aspect of the industry. This is, we believe, how it should be. This is Still Hungry Theatre.
