Mission Statement:

History:
The growth of St. Joseph parish in Marshall, TX, began with Fr. Thomas Loughery who was sent here by Bishop C. M. Dubuis, of the Galveston Diocese in 1874.
The first church was a gray frame structure built in the 1880’s located only a few feet from our present church and rectory. It served the Parish until the new brick structure we know today at 410 North Alamo was finally completed by Father James Schauf who replaced Father Burns in 1923. The new church was dedicated in 1926 by Bishop Joseph P. Lynch.
