About the Chamber:

The Tawas Area Chamber of Commerce was formed in 1947 to promote commerce in the Tawases with the combining of the Tawas City and the East Tawas Chambers of Commerce. Today the Tawas Area Chamber of Commerce continues to promote and service the entrepreneurial needs of its business members, enjoying more than 50 years of success.

From roads and infrastructure development, to the overall promotion of the Tawases as a great place to do business, live and visit, the Tawas Area Chamber of Commerce does make a difference.

As Tawas Bay's primary information source, our full-time professional staff answers hundreds of inquiries monthly from prospective and existing businesses, transferees, the news media and visitors nationwide. Our board of directors shapes and measures the organization's goals regularly to best serve the ever-changing priorities of our membership. Our active members volunteer countless hours in helping the Tawas Area Chamber of Commerce carry out its commitment to enhancing the overall business climate of the Tawas Area.
