Tecolote Farm brings a unique flavor to the Austin community through seasonal farmers’ markets, partnerships with the city’s best restaurants, and our CSA delivery, the longest-running in Texas!  We’re dedicated to working with partners based on shared values, a love of good food and commitment to quality.

Tecolote is a small family farm located on the rich soils of the Blackland Prairie 13 miles east of downtown Austin, Texas. Since 2010 we have also grown on a 20 acre parcel in Bastrop County along the Colorado River, where the rich sandy soils allow us to grow sweeter melons as well as strawberries and blackberries. We grow over 150 vegetable varieties from all over the world, including heirlooms as well as modern hybrids.

Certified organic originally since 1994, our farm has been bringing the freshest, most delicious vegetables to Austinites for over 20 years, making us one of the area’s  pioneers in organic farming/produce. Each year our farm crew has expanded to meet the growing demand in Central Texas for fresh, wholesome, local produce.

Since we started our CSA in 1994 with only 16 members, we have maintained a strong relationship with all our CSA members even as we’ve watched that number grow to the now 300+ families we serve. We have raised our three children on the farm, alongside milk goats during their growing years. We keep laying hens for fresh eggs and raise pastured pork that we sell as whole and half hog shares. Horses, dogs, and cats live here, and a perennial creek bisects our home farm, while the Colorado River runs along the river farm’s edge.   Our farm is very much a labor of love and we are so happy to share it with you and your family.
