We started our farm 4 years ago after my (Jessica) grandparents left my mother their farm. They had a truck farm over 40 years ago on the same twenty acres. They grew, and sold sweet corn locally in the Quincy IL area. Brad came from a conventional farming background. His father (Dick) was a farmer in and around Monroe City MO. I personally have no farm background, although my grandmother has taught me a lot in her two acre garden over the years. I have been helping her ever since I could pull a weed. Our Practices We currently cultivate ten acres of vegetables with four acres in cover crops at all times. We have recently purchased a few hoop houses for early production of cucurbits and tomatoes.
