Created in 2017 by Northern Virginia residents Kevin Bednarz and Michael McNutt, Northern Virginia's All Star Comic Con is a weekend-long celebration of comics, art, gaming and pop culture fandoms. The show boasts 2 full ballrooms featuring pop culture vendors (toys, comics, games, etc), writers, artists and various creators. Additionally, All Star Con hosts workshops, panels, sessions, interactive features including gaming rooms (video, card, board and role play), musical performances, and celebrity appearances.
All Star Con has extended its brand to include a monthly book club, scheduled networking meet ups throughout the region, and a charity partnership with the Arc of Loudoun at Paxton Campus, a full service non-profit organization with multiple programs and services that together provide an integral and innovative environment for children with disabilities and their families. Recently, All Star Con has partnered with Lees Corner Elementary School in Fairfax Virginia to offer workshops on art, creative writing, and other skills that will help students as they continue their educational journey.
All Star prides itself on being a reasonably sized event that is all about the community and experience.
