The American Music Festival

Welcome to the American Music Festival's 2015-16 Season. The reviews say it all. For the 26th year, AMF presents a stunning array of distinguished artists and ensembles in five dazzling evenings!

New and longtime listeners will explore a vibrant musical spectrum and reconnect with some of the world's greatest classical music and favorite composers. These include Bach, Vivaldi, Telemann, Beethoven, Haydn, Ginastera, Brahms, Webern and many others.

The 2015-16 season will present an all-Bach program with period instruments, a holiday concert with recording artist Beverly Biggs and her Beyond Baroque friends plus three of the nation's major string quartets Enso, Ariel and Calidore. These brilliant young quartets have all won major international awards and received international critical acclaim, rising to the top rank of performing ensembles today. Their websites provide videos, and exciting reviews.

This season's special feature is the string quartet programs which offer string quartets from Beethoven's early, middle and late periods. This provides you a special in-depth look at Beethoven's musical development as we trace Beethoven's style to the end of his life and hear music like none other mystical, transcendental; and at the same time monumental, intimate, and confessional. You won't want to miss a single concert!
