About Us :
The Southwest Arts & Humanities Council was incorporated in 1989 as a nonprofit organization to act as a coordination, educational, and service organization to foster and promote the arts, encourage and increase the knowledge, appreciation, and practice of the art, humanities, and culture in Southwest Kansas in addition to ensuring the arts and humanities are accessible to all citizens while supporting a variety and excellence of arts in the community.
The Arts Center is the fruit of the Southwest Arts & Humanities' vision. The Council continues to be committed to bringing quality arts to southwest Kansas. This combination gallery of professional artists' work has rotating exhibits of different mediums with fun opening receptions, a separate children's art gallery, a gift shop, and a space for workshops for children as well as adults.
