The Country Nursery School of Clinton is a cooperative nursery school that has been serving preschoolers and pre-kindergarten children for 42 years. The school was started in 1960 by a group of young Clinton mothers who felt there was a need for a preschool in the area. That year they had 12 children enrolled. There are over 90 children enrolled in the nursery school for the 2003-2004 school year. Our purpose is to provide a basis for meaningful and enjoyable learning, through varied experiences, in a happy environment. We have qualified teachers who respect each child's individual pattern of growth.

We are a cooperative school with parents as partners and, as such, offer a well-rounded program at minimal expense. Parents are encouraged to visit and observe the classes at any time. It is important that you see your child in this peer group setting. You are also invited to help out periodically with special projects and field trips. Confidential conferences are held in the Spring with each student's parents

It is a nondenominational interracial school, licensed by the state with monthly health supervision provided by contract with the Clinton Visiting Nurses Association.
