The Cow Neck Peninsula Historical Society is a non-profit voluntary organization chartered by the State of New York concerned with the political, social and cultural history of Port Washington and of Long Island. It focuses on the preservation of historic sites and buildings, the collection and preservation of historic records and artifacts. It maintains two house museums in which to display its collections and further promotes public knowledge of the early history of Cow Neck through educational programs for children and adults and through publications.
