The Family Pet Hospital opened its doors on February 8th, 1998. Its founder and owner, Dr. Cristina Valas was able to realize her dream of being her own town's small animal veterinarian. Part of this dream was to be able to practice in a relaxed, family oriented atmosphere in which she would have plenty of time to play with her patients, personally get to know their owners, and have time to educate them on their pet's needs. Now, she is proud of the practice's ability to provide exceptional medical and surgical services in the compassionate family oriented atmosphere. In our pursuit of excellence, we voluntarily sought accreditation by the American Animal Hospital Association. In order to maintain this accreditation our practice is evaluated by an expert to ensure that we comply with the high veterinary care standards that you and your pets deserve. Only 20% of all small animal practices in the United States can claim this accreditation and pursuit of excellence. Our practice has grown tremendously in the last five years serving over 1800 pets and we will continue a steady but controlled growth so as not to compromise each of our patient's care.
