The Good Wu Healing and Arts Festival

The Good Wu Healing and Arts Festival, began in 2019, in downtown Benton, KY, at the original location of A Centered Space.  Created by Delasaria "Dayla" Lihon, and Gwendolyn Hinton, both licensed psychotherapists, who saw a need in their clients, to experience deeper levels of healing, through mind/body/spirit wellness.  A lot of people working through deep physical, emotional, and spiritual pain, that can be helped by opening up to approaches like massage, energy work, health-supporting products, intuitive guidance, open-minded community, and supports for "green living".  Yet in this rural, small town area, many felt confused, and frightened to branch out.  The very first Festival began as a "Healing Saturday", with three healers offering a variety of modalities to experience, as well as crystals and goodies by Southern Crystals and Crafts.

By Fall of 2019, The Good Wu Healing and Arts Festival was born, and the first Fall Festival was a fantastic success, with 10 vendors, free yoga and meditation classes, and more! "The Good Wu" name was inspired by the concept that healers and vendors are carefully vetted, so that it is safe to explore new paths of healing.  "All the good woo woo stuff, and none of the bad!"  In 2019, A Centered Space purchased a property to expand, and The Space on 641 was born.  As COVID hit, several events were rescheduled, however as we were able to be outdoors, we adapted and held "The Good Wu Mini Drive Through" events, and then the 2020 Fall Festival, 2021 Spring/Summer/Fall Festivals, Spring/Fall 2022 Festivals, Fall 2023, and now Fall 2024!  As we've grown, we've added a Performance Stage, indoor/outdoor booths and services across the property.  Now as we've grown even more, we've transitioned The Good Wu Healing and Arts Fall Festival to Calvert City Civic Center and Dr's Park.  You'll always find the best artisanal, handmade, local, and highest quality goods, services, and performances, in an inclusive, accepting, and fun-loving community.  All are welcome here.
